DIY Balloon Wreath

Warning: This craft requires extra child supervision when the door is open. There is something irresistible about about a bunch balloons to any child in range to grab them.   :)

For Noah's second birthday it only seemed fitting to do a Noah's ark themed party with animals and 2 of everything and rainbow colors. To complete the look I made this balloon wreath.

First I must give credit to How Does She? for a wonderful tutorial and idea. I could give you all of the detailed instructions but she rocked this tutorial.

As for my take on it:

It was super easy to do!
The materials cost me a little less than $15 and....everyone loved it!
What do you think?

The Pinning Feeling.

It sounds corny but you know what I am talking about!  That feeling you get when you see something so awesome that you have to pin it!  You pin it to the board of your choice and BAM you feel like you have accomplished something or made your mark on something special.  Or maybe it is just me?

It goes a little further for me, it is almost a pinning addiction.  You made need to join me for Pinner's Anonymous if:

1. You find yourself thinking about your pins through out the day.
2. You center your shopping list around your pins.
3. You make at least a weekly trip to the craft or home improvement store.
4. You search through the weekly Michael's ad in hopes that this will be the week that the products you need will be at least 50% off.
5. You reference pins or Pinterest in every day conversation.

What could you add to this list?

Red White and Blue Skewers

I searched Pinterest over for a healthy snack idea for the kids for the 4th. We just moved into our new house and the cakes and trifles looked more time consuming, so I made these! It probably took 10 mins max!

Items needed:
1 pint of blueberries
1 pint of strawberries
1 bag of marshmallows
1 pack of skewers

I washed the fruit, cut the tops off of the strawberries, and then cut the strawberries in half. Then I put them on the skewers. Our oldest (5) loved helping Mommy and it made a quick, fun, and healthy (minus the marshmallows of course) snack for the kids.

Pinterest

So it is only fair to say that I have started a blog only because I am OBSESSED with Pinterest. I have to get a daily fix of creating something from my boards.  After a multitude of ups and downs I have decided to start my own blog.  Maybe someone will read it?  If anything, I hope that people can learn from my crafting and recipe mess ups!

I am not an artist, or even that creative! I just like crafting and making personalized items that are much cheaper than I would find in the stores!

So, please follow along with me and tell me what you think!
